The server is server/tank-server.mjs — node:http, node:crypto and node:fs and nothing else. Iron Frontier installs no dependencies.
The CPU squad thinks in compiled Rust WebAssembly: engine/tank_brain.rs built to assets/wasm/tank_brain.wasm, not in JavaScript.
Movement, shells, base damage and respawns are all decided by the server on a 33 ms tick, so what you see is what actually happened.
The brain is handed what a pilot in that tank can see — the arena, the walls it has bumped into, the tanks and shells in front of it. It is not given anything a human in the same seat would not have.
Its edge comes from reacting quickly and picking its lane, never from extra sight.
Every arena is better with someone else holding the other corridor. Thanks for taking a shift on the wall.
